The Turkey Goes Nuts

Hi folks and welcome back! It’s always nice to have you here!

Today I have a special treat for you, a recipe that is both quick and easy, but extremely delicious. This recipe is the perfect substitute for the classic spaghetti Bolognese. So give it a try if you want to taste something new.

I give you the rich tomato and turkey stew pasta!

What you need:

500g turkey mince pine nuts 1 vegetable stock cube
pasta or rice oregano, basil chilli flakes
1 glass of red wine chopped tomatoes parmesan cheese
1 onion, 1 garlic 2-3 tbl spoons tomato puree pinch of sugar, salt, pepper

It looks like you need a lot, but you probably have most of these ingredients in your cupboard. Besides they can be found in the supermarket or your local market quite easily.

So let’s get started by adding some oil in a frying pan and heat it up for a bit. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes.

Then just add the turkey mince and fry until it’s slightly brown. Turn down the heat and then add the rest of the ingredients to the mix and let it cook until it’s thick and shiny.  Don’t forget to cook it on low heat.

Next add all the ingredients, the wine, pine nuts (don;t forget the nuts) and chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, basil, oregano, red wine vinegar, vegetable stock cube, chilli flakes and finally a pinch of sugar, salt and pepper.

Once you add the ingredients let it simmer for 10-15 minutes and stir it occasionally.
Now it’s time to stick the pasta on for about 10-12 minutes and grate some Parmesan cheese.
Dish out the pasta add the turkey stew and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bon appetit!
Hope you enjoy this recipe and I will see you next time for another treat!

A great dinner if you want something quick and pretty healthy. Since turkey is quite low fat. It takes about 15-20 minutes to make and you can find ingredients easily at your local supermarket.
